Counselor
Diane works with individual adults who feel weighed down by anxiety, self-doubt, or the lasting impact of difficult childhood experiences. Many of Diane’s clients are parents who want to show up differently for their kids while also finding more balance, ease, and self-compassion for themselves. Diane understands how overwhelming it can feel to keep moving forward while carrying so much from the past, and she wants you to know you don’t have to navigate that alone.
In her sessions, Diane focuses on creating a space where you can feel both supported and understood. Diane is one of the only therapists in Missouri trained in the NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM), a therapy designed to help people heal from attachment and developmental trauma. Instead of focusing only on problems, NARM helps explore what you most what for yourself and what might be getting in the way of that. This allows us to gently shift patterns of survival that may have once helped you cope but now feel limiting or exhausting.
Diane also brings a practical, real-world perspective to therapy. Before becoming a counselor, she worked for 10 years as a CPA in public accounting, in both corporate and legal settings. Diane knows the pressures of balancing work, family, and personal well-being. Her background helps her understand the unique stress many of her clients carry and the desire to feel more present and less overwhelmed in daily life.
Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, burnout, parenting stress, or the lingering effects of trauma, Diane would be honored to walk alongside you. Her hope is that through your work together, you’ll feel more grounded, connected, and supported as you move toward the life you want to create.
Particular areas of specialty include: complex developmental and relational trauma; religious trauma and spiritual abuse; borderline and narcissistic personality dynamics; divorce and co-parenting; high-functioning anxiety and perfectionism; working with other therapists.
Diane is a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) in the state of Missouri. She is currently under supervision by Get Centered’s Clinical Director, Kim McGuiness M.Ed., LPC, NCC #2019003417.
