Health and Wellness Coaches seeking certification from the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching (NBHWC) must complete one of only a few certified education programs available in addition to completing 50 clinical hours and passing a Board exam. At Get Centered, we chose our affiliated health coach based on her work with the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy affiliated with the Institute for Functional Medicine.
The Functional Medicine Coaching Academy (FMCA) in collaboration with the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM) trains health coaches to utilize the principles of Functional Medicine coupled with positive psychology techniques to partner with their clients while educating, motivating and guiding them to make sustainable lifestyle changes to achieve their health and wellness goals.
