Counselor; Get Centered’s Clinical Director
When working with Kim your initial reaction will be one of comfort and relief. Kim recognizes how difficult it can be to make the choice to see a counselor. She understands the feeling of dread in finding the right fit and more importantly finding someone that is willing to do more than listen.
Kim knows how we all find ways to rationalize our feelings within ourselves and in our relationships with others leading us to wonder..Is there more to life? She recognizes how we carry anxiousness and sadness and how that can lead to feeling overwhelmed and influence how we react at home, work and school.
Kim believes many of us hold onto our experiences so tightly they impact not only our thoughts, but create symptoms in our bodies and put stress on how we communicate with our partners, family, and friends. Kim’s 20 years of experience in human resources and consulting shows up in sessions in how she helps clients find strategies that work for them as individuals, in relationships with others, or as a family. It has been said that Kim helps clients create a strategy toolkit for themselves to use and help them feel real change. She is convinced we each hold a purpose in life and she is eager to help you interrupt old patterns that are no longer working for you in order to feel a freedom in being the person you know you can be individually and within relationship with others.
Kim completed her M.Ed. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Missouri St. Louis after past corporate, consulting and inpatient clinical work.
